April 10, 2019 (Seoul, Korea) – CBRE Korea, a global commercial real estate service company, held its “CBRE Forum 2019” to share insights on global commercial real estate market trends this morning at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul.
Over 200 real estate investors and industry experts attended the forum. The event included presentations by Dr. Henry Chin, Head of Research, CBRE APAC/EMEA, on this year’s APAC market outlook; Jonathan Hull, Managing Director, Investment Properties, CBRE EMEA, on European market trends; Claire Choi, head of research, CBRE Korea, on the firm’s “Korea Occupier Survey 2019” report; and Chinatsu Kaneko, head of workplace strategy, CBRE North Asia, on workplace strategy.
Forum attendees were pleased to learn about several ways that workspace strategy boosts productivity and efficiency through Ms. Kaneko’s presentation. She covered success stories of key customers implementing Activity Based Workplace (ABW) concepts, which have also been applied at CBRE offices around the world. CBRE provides strategic services that enable customers to create a work environment that enhances collaboration, creativity and efficiency while fostering a vibrant corporate culture.
“As the business environment becomes more complex, a workplace strategy that responds flexibly to changes is becoming more important,” said Don Lim, Managing Director, CBRE Korea, “Growth of co-working space reflects this trend. According to CBRE Korea’s research, flexible offices grew their Seoul office footprint by 80% y-o-y in the 2018.”
The CBRE Forum, which started last year in Korea, is one of the biggest annual events hosted by CBRE. It is also being held in 13 cities across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss key topics in the commercial real estate market from an occupier, developer and investor perspective.
