CBRE GIVES

- Donates to Korea Food for the Hungry International to support children

December 9, 2020 (Seoul, Korea) – CBRE Korea, a global commercial real estate services company, announced that it had conducted non-face-to-face volunteer work to help overcome the COVID-19 crisis as part of its CBRE GIVES social contribution campaign to give back to the local community.

In this campaign, 60 employees participated in a variety of fundraising activities including making masks and soap and the “Jump Rope Challenge,” a social distancing activity designed to protect the health of employees, and raised about 2 million won. CBRE Korea also made a matching donation. The collected donations and employee-made masks and soap will be sent to Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI) to reinforce the hygienic conditions of children in local communities suffering from COVID-19.

Don Lim, Managing Director of CBRE Korea, stated, “Unfortunately, we can’t continue our annual social contribution outdoor activities due to COVID-19, but it is very meaningful to be able to convey the joy of sharing through volunteer work that takes into account the safety of employees. CBRE will continue social contribution activities to take the lead in taking care of our neighbors in need.”

CBRE GIVES is an enterprise-wide social contribution activity of CBRE executives and employees in the Asia Pacific region including China, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Singapore and Australia.
